Bailey estate was also known as lien allei farm", "start": 800.839, "end": 806.12}, {"text": "and it was owned by Frank Bailey uh Frank Bailey yes sorry Frank Bailey and", "start": 806.12, "end": 812.12}, {"text": "his wife Edith so Frank Bailey is an early industrialist in Canada and Edith his wife was very involved in Oakville", "start": 812.12, "end": 817.8}, {"text": "historically uh especially applebe college so in the 1920s uh the Bailey's bought this farm and they proceeded to", "start": 817.8, "end": 825.639}, {"text": "have many different Farm out buildings built uh and designed by paig and Warrington a well-known Toronto", "start": 825.639, "end": 831.279}, {"text": "architectural firm including this house uh so it was for their Farm manager uh", "start": 831.279, "end": 836.68}, {"text": "it's the last remaining building of these of this collection of buildings on", "start": 836.68, "end": 841.92}, {"text": "the property and so the house meets four", "start": 841.92, "end": 847.079}, {"text": "criteria uh it has design value as a representative example of a one-story arts and crafts Cottage uh as the farm", "start": 847.079, "end": 853.36}, {"text": "manager's home it's historical value is that it's associated with the Bailey family who are well known in Oakville", "start": 853.36, "end": 859.6}, {"text": "and it's also associated with the Toronto Architecture Firm of page and Warrington and it has contextual value", "start": 859.6, "end": 865.759}, {"text": "because it is physically visually and historically linked with its surrounding on Lake Shore Road West uh where it was", "start": 865.759, "end": 871.16}, {"text": "actually once right at the entrance to the estate SL Farm uh our next house is the Smith", "start": 871.16, "end": 879.44}, {"text": "house at 2460 Old bronny Road uh this is a pretty interesting example of a structure in Oakville it has Heritage", "start": 879.44, "end": 886.04}, {"text": "value for the uh Gothic exterior from the mid 1800s that we can see in the top photo but it's also for the original", "start": 886.04, "end": 893.519}, {"text": "portion of the structure to the rear of the house uh which was built around 18133 uh using traditional timber frame", "start": 893.519, "end": 899.959}, {"text": "construction techniques so that is probably one of the oldest buildings in the area and it's being conserved uh", "start": 899.959, "end": 906.88}, {"text": "through development as you can see in the bottom photo there so this one actually meets six criteria so it has", "start": 906.88, "end": 914.04}, {"text": "design value uh for two different reasons it's an evolved example of a 19th Century Village house with Gothic", "start": 914.04, "end": 920.68}, {"text": "Revival and Italian uh influences and Es uh for its early example of the 1813", "start": 920.68, "end": 927.199}, {"text": "timber frame structure located at at the rear of the house historically uh it is associated with the 19th Century Village", "start": 927.199, "end": 934.56}, {"text": "Life of poo and also associated with the Smith families who were early settlers in the troler township and contextually", "start": 934.56, "end": 941.839}, {"text": "it is physically visually and historically linked to its surroundings the village of poo historically and", "start": 941.839, "end": 947.88}, {"text": "important in defining the area as a former historic rural Village and telling the story of its", "start": 947.88, "end": 954.279}, {"text": "Evolution so then our final two houses are located on on actually built around 1917 uh and it was built by James", "start": 968.639, "end": 974}, {"text": "blakelock who is one of the Blake loock brothers who are historically a well-known uh business in Oakville they", "start": 974, "end": 980.8}, {"text": "built a lot of houses around the city or town sorry uh and so James and Thomas", "start": 980.8, "end": 986}, {"text": "were brothers and this whole historic block uh that the house is located in many houses were built by them and their", "start": 986, "end": 992.199}, {"text": "lumber yard and business were also located on the Block uh but this one uh was built by James for his family and", "start": 992.199, "end": 999.88}, {"text": "actually the house right behind it on Church Street is already designated as the Thomas Blake loock house", "start": 999.88, "end": 1005.72}, {"text": "so let's see so this one hits four points uh it is a representative example", "start": 1005.72, "end": 1013.36}, {"text": "of an Edwardian style house with Queen Anne influences uh it has historical value because it is associated with 20th", "start": 1013.36, "end": 1020.759}, {"text": "century commercial and residential development of downtown Oakville and also because it's associated with the", "start": 1020.759, "end": 1026.199}, {"text": "Blake block Brothers specifically James who lived in the house with his family", "start": certainly", "start": 1362.12, "end": 1367.279}, {"text": "things that we still support even when the property is designated because we want to make sure the buildings are useful um and can have an
